Celebrity photographer PEROU captures striking new portraits of famous actor Ewan McGregor and renowned theatre director/producer Michael Grandage for The Observer New Review. The feature spotlights their upcoming West End production My Master Builder — a bold, modern take on Ibsen’s classic.

Grandage and McGregor, who are sitting side by side in a rehearsal space in central London, steal a glance at each other and erupt, simultaneously, in loud howls. Exciting to see Ewan McGregor return to the UK stage: “The sexual politics of Ibsen’s play are fleshed out into our reality. It’s fleshed out for a modern audience.”

My Master Builder runs from 17 April to 12 July 2025 at Delfont Mackintosh Theatres.
