Olivia Beasley
Olivia Beasley began her career as an illustrator before moving over to photography. Memory and storytelling are important triggers for projects and she likes to create a narrative in her photographs showing people in real places or constructed environments to give a sense of time and place. Her story ideas often begin with a written text which can be re-imagined as still and moving images.
This same approach is used by Olivia on portraits, fashion or still life projects. She enjoys collaborating with people – ‘ the people I’m photographing and everyone that helps me make reality look a little bit better’.
